What do a Bloodhound named “Daisy” and a ferret known as “Gretchen La Noodle the Wee Ferret Lady” have in common?
Daisy & Gretchen La Noodle were the catalysts that set Noodles Animal Refuge + Hospice into motion. Daisy with her unshakeable loyalty and fearless spirit, and Gretchen with her bold personality packed into such a tiny frame—embodied the bravery and strong sense of self that defines every animal under our care. These two showed us that character doesn’t come in any one particular size—it comes from the heart.
Their individual stories, chock full of love, second chances, and a whole lotta personality, encouraged the spark necessary for such a massive undertaking. With their unique spirits in mind, Noodles strives to provide the same care, compassion, and opportunity for every dog rescued, no matter their size or their past.

Our Fearless Leader, Kim Eastin, is a retired officer from the Daytona Beach Police Department. While Kim much prefers to keep the spotlight on the fosters and pups that make Noodles truly special, a proper introduction is in order.
Noodles was founded by a woman that has spent the majority of her life surrounded by big, goofy, slobbering dogs—dogs that were always by her side during life’s highs and lows.
